Beyond the Books is hosted by Tyler Coster and Ben Shih, two friends who met at "nerd camp" and took unexpected paths to careers in tech.

Tyler started in music, studying business to enter the industry, but found his calling in marketing through Apple’s iTunes. Now, with 10+ years of experience, he’s passionate about exploring unconventional career journeys. Ben began as a poli sci major aiming for law school but pivoted to Sales, HR, and eventually tech. A firm believer in learning by doing, he brings humor and real-world insights from a decade in the workforce.
